The duration of each course is generally 3 hours unless noted otherwise. Extended and more in-depth training on each subject can be arranged where required.

Health and Safety Awareness

This course is designed to provide an awareness to persons of any level about health and safety in the workplace. It includes information on employee duties under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999. The Health and Safety Awareness course will be specific to suit your industry.

Health and Safety for Directors and Managers

This course is perfect for company managers and directors who wish to gain an understanding of employers’ duties under the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 and the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999 and how to successfully implement a health and safety policy and management procedures suited to your workplace.

Health and Safety Representatives

The aim of this course is to provide designated health and safety representatives with an understanding of the relevant legislative requirements relating to health and safety representatives and committees and to provide them with an understanding of how to carry out the role and functions effectively.

Risk Assessment

The course teaches delegates about the process of risk assessing as well as providing attendees with an understanding of workplace hazards, associated risks, selection of control measures (in compliance with the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999) and implementation of control measures.

First Aid at Work [FAW] – 3 days

The First Aid at Work course, targeted at high-risk workplaces, enables delegates to become qualified first aiders. Join our dynamic three-day program to gain the essential skills and knowledge for effective first-aid provision in the workplace. 

Upon completion, attendees will obtain a three-year Emergency First Aid at Work certificate, certifying them as competent first aiders.

(We recommend that course participants are physically capable of administering first aid.) 

Emergency First Aid at Work [EFAW] – 1 day

The Emergency First Aid at Work course is an ideal solution for most workplaces and will enable delegates to become a qualified emergency first aider. Delegates will gain the confidence and proficiency needed to address emergencies effectively. 

Upon completion, delegates earn the esteemed qualification of a certified emergency first aider, with a certificate valid for three years.

(We recommend that course participants are physically capable of administering first aid.)

First Aid at Work Refresher - 2 days

The First Aid at Work Refresher training course provides an update for the comprehensive set of
practical skills and understanding needed by First Aiders in most workplaces. The course is split over two days and comprises of a combination of informative slides, demonstrations and practical activities. Learners are assessed throughout the duration of the course to ensure that they achieve the required competencies.

The Health and Safety Executive strongly recommends that first aiders attend a refresher session once every year during the three year period.

First Aid Annual Refresher 1/2 day

The First Aid at Work Refresher training course provides an update for the comprehensive set of
practical skills and understanding needed by First Aiders in most workplaces. The course is an annual half-day refresher. 

The Health & Safety Executive strongly recommends that First Aiders undertake annual
refresher training during any three-year First Aid at Work or Emergency First Aid at Work
certification period. This will assist qualified First Aiders in maintaining their knowledge and
basic skills whilst providing an opportunity to keep up-to-date with any changes in First Aid
procedures or best practices.

Fire Awareness

The fire awareness course will assist with your asset management programme and is perfectly suited for all levels of the business. The training provides delegates with an in-depth understanding of workplace fire hazards, control of risk, selection and use of fire extinguishers.

Fire Warden

Fire Warden training ensures that delegates are aware of the correct protocol to follow to maintain the safety of themselves and others in the event of a fire. The course provides delegates with an understanding of their responsibilities with regard to their role as a fire warden, whilst ensuring compliance with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, the Fire Safety (Scotland) Regulations 2006 and the Fire (Scotland) Act 2005 (as relevant). The course will also focus on selection and use of fire extinguishers and drill techniques.

Manual Handling & Ergonomics

The Manual Handling and Ergonomic training course is an interactive and engaging session which aims to provide detailed information with regards to workplace manual handling and ergonomic risks and techniques that can be used to minimise and control such risks. 

Display Screen Equipment

This course is aimed for employees responsible for undertaking display screen assessments. It provides an overview of the requirements of the Health and Safety (Display Screen Equipment) Regulations 1992 and trains delegates on how to conduct display screen equipment assessments in the workplace.

Personal Protective Equipment Awareness

Our Personal Protective Equipment Awareness course aims to educate those who work in any industry about personal protective equipment designed for use in the workplace. The course provides an understanding of workplace hazards which may require PPE as a method of controlling risk, selection, maintenance and inspection of PPE (industry specific).

CDM Awareness

The aim of the course is to provide persons involved in design and construction with an overview of the requirements of the new Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015.

CDM for Designers

This course is designed for contractors and focuses on the specific requirements for construction worksites and the relevant duties and methods of complying with these under the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015. The course is tailored to the roles and functions of the delegates.

CDM for Contractors

The aim of the course is to provide persons involved in design and construction with an overview of the requirements of the new Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015.

COSHH Awareness

Our COSHH Awareness training provides detailed guidance on how to comply with the requirements of the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations 2002. Detailed guidance on how to assess the risks of hazardous substances will be provided in addition to an awareness of control measures that should be applied.

Provision and Use of Work Equipment (PUWER) Awareness

The PUWER Awareness training assists in managing the risks associated with machinery and equipment used in the workplace. This course will be specific to your industry and will focus on how to identify the risks in the workplace and looks at the appropriate control measures needed to reduce the likelihood of harm when using work equipment.

Work at Height

The Work at Height training course helps you to comply with the Work at Height Regulations 2005 by providing the necessary information to successfully assess working at height risks and implement relevant control measures. This includes an understanding of how to undertake a working at height risk assessment, how to use access equipment safely and how to ensure that employees can reduce their risk of falls from height.

Safety Harness

This course is suited for persons undertake tasks in the workplace involving the use of a full body safety harness. The course is also suited to managers and supervisors as it focusses on selection, inspection and maintenance of harnesses, emergency management and information on how to use a harness safely and correctly.

Face Fit Testing

The Face Fit Testing training course is a great solution for businesses wishing to up-skill their employees and offer an in-house solution for face fit testing used for tight-fitting facepieces. The course combines the perfect amount of instruction and information with practical, hands-on learning. The course will provide delegates with an understanding of the HSE Operational Circular 282/28 – Fit Testing of Respiratory Protective Equipment Facepieces and will enable them to undertake effective and compliant, qualitative face fit testing.

Behavioural Safety

Our Behavioural Safety courses are perfect for businesses who are implementing a behavioural safety programme or those who are committed to reducing accident and near miss incidents by increasing awareness and engagement of the workforce. The course is made specific to your industry and is an ideal way of improving the safety culture in your business.

Health & Safety for Food Manufacturers

This course is specific to the food manufacturing industry and provides delegates with an awareness of hazards, risk and control measures relating to the machinery and complex processes involved in food manufacturing. Detailed guidance on machinery safety and chemical safety will be provided and behavioural safety elements will be discussed.

Food Hygiene & Safety

Our Food Hygiene and Safety training provides delegates with information on how to adopt basic food hygiene practices and work safely in a food-handling environment. This knowledge enables delegates assist their business in adherence to food safety legislation and ensure that food sold to consumers is safe to eat.

Occupational health for Directors and Managers

This course is designed to give company managers and directors an overview of the legislative requirements relating to the provision of occupational health surveillance to employees. It also provides information on how to develop organisational occupational health policies, procedures and risk assessment including those for drugs and alcohol testing.

NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health revision

A one-day course (7½ hours) for delegates completing online training. This is a classroom based revision workshop that reviews the course syllabus and prepares delegates for examination.

NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction Safety and Health revision

A one-day course (7½ hours) for delegates completing online training. This is a classroom based revision workshop that reviews the course syllabus and prepares delegates for examination.

IOSH Managing Safely revision

A four-hour course for delegates completing online training. This is a classroom based revision workshop to review the course syllabus and prepare for course assessment. During this session we prepare delegates for examination using example questions and provide guidance on how to complete the work-based risk assessment project assignment.
